After cricketer Virendra Sehwag pitched in for homegrown cab aggregator Ola last year to create awareness towards vehicular pollution, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has started batting for its biggest rival, Uber.
The US-based ride-hailing company announced on Friday that the 29-year-old batsman would be its new brand ambassador.

On the newly-formed partnership, Kohli tweeted, “After a season of hectic tours, it’s finally time for me to take a back-seat.” It is great to see how Uber is using technology to revolutionise the way people move around cities and is empowering millions by creating economic opportunities, he added.
