Liquor firm United Breweries Ltd (UBL) on Saturday reported a 20.40 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 147.06 crore for the quarter ended on June 30.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 122.14 crore in the April-June period a year ago, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
UBL's net sales on standalone basis was also up 8.59 per cent to Rs 1,485.67 crore during the period under review as against Rs 1,368.03 crore in the year-ago period.
Its total expense was up 5.79 per cent to Rs 1,335.97 crore as against Rs 1,262.79 crore in the three-month period of 2015-16.
