The net profit of Ultratech Cement, one of the country’s largest cement producers and distributors, rose 62.7 per cent at Rs 318.96 crore in the third quarter ending December 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 196.03 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Net sales of the company shot up a staggering 124 per cent at Rs 3,715.24 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 1,651.89 crore in the same period of last year.
At 12:57 pm, the shares of Ultratech were trading up 0.78 per cent at Rs 1,025 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
