Commenting on the issues raised by Vishwa Kalyan Kamgar Sanghatana (VKKS), the only union at the Akurdi and Chakan plants, Pradeep Shrivastava, chief operating officer, Bajaj Auto, said, "The union is not cooperating with the management. We have given enough facilities to the workers but they are not satisfied and there were deliberate attempts to decrease production."

Dilip Pawar, president, VKKS, said, "Under the wage agreement, there is a clause of right of termination of contract for both the parties. Apart from table discussions, management is not doing anything concrete for the workers."
