Speech recognition technology firm Uniphore Software Systems has appointed two officials in the management position as part of strengthening its leadership team to serve the customers in various geographies. The company announced appointment of Samith Ramachandran as Vice-President & Head of Professional Services and M Thamarai Selvi as director of Marketing and Communications.

Ramachandran will be responsible for building the professional services organisation and services portfolio, with a focus on rapid deployment, sustained operations and business growth. Selvi will oversee all aspects of marketing and communication across the globe.

Umesh Sachdev, co-founder and CEO, Uniphore Software Systems said, "They bring a depth of business experience and leadership skills, which will help to ensure that we continue evolving, to meet the needs of our customers in our core markets and those emerging markets in which we strive to increase our participation."

 

Ramachandran has over 19 years of experience in Software Product Engineering and Service Delivery. Prior to Uniphore, he has worked with Siemens (NSN), Subex and Flytxt. Selvi comes with 14 years of exposure in marketing and communications across companies like BPCL, Asian Paints, IBM and Wipro.

Uniphore, a speech recognition company, has investors including Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, IDG Ventures India, India Angel Network, Yournest Fund and Stata Ventures. It has offices in India, Philippines and UAE with 80 employees spread across all locations.
