United Breweries (Holdings) today reported a 83.69% decline in net profit at Rs 2.10 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 12.88 crore during the corresponding period of the previous financial year, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales of the Vijay Mallya-led company, however, rose to Rs 95.04 crore during the the quarter, as compared to Rs 82.69 crore during the same period last fiscal.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 7.73 crore as against Rs 41.69 crore during 2010-11.
The company's net sales for the year ended March 31, 2012 rose to Rs 373.15 crore, compared to Rs 300.23 crore during 2010-11.
Shares of United Breweries (Holdings) today closed at Rs 62.35 apiece on the BSE today, down 1.19% from its previous close.
