United Phos in Euro 43.5 mn deal with Bayer

United Phosphorus has purchased certain crop protection products from Bayer CropScience for a consideration of Euro 43.50 million, including inventories.

According to a release issued by United Phosphorus to the BSE today, the products purchased include the systemic carbamate herbicidal active ingredient Asulam and two insecticidal products. Bayer CropScience has retained certain rights related to non-agricultural uses in strategic markets.

'With acquisition of these products the Company will enhance its product portfolio across geography with an intention to offer a broad portfolio of solutions to its customers', the release added.
