US-based Trojan Battery Company enters Indian market

The firm, which provides power to golf cars and electric vehicles, has appointed master distributor

US-based deep-cycle battery manufacturer Trojan Battery Company has entered the Indian market and has appointed a master distributor for its products to be marketed throughout the country.

Trojan Battery Company provides power for a wide variety of golf cars, electric vehicles, aerial work platform, transportation, floor scrubber, renewable energy, recreational and auxiliary power applications. It is designed to use in applications such as golf cars, off-grid solar energy, rural telecom and boats.

The company has announced that Manikandan Dunamis Pvt Ltd, a supplier of equipment, consumables and services for battery-powered application, will be the master distributor of Trojan’s deep-cycle batteries throughout India. It would offer Trojan’s products to support the market with focus on electric vehicles, inverter, telecom, floor machines, golf and utility vehicles, marine/recreational vehicle, and various renewable energy applications in India.
 

Jeff Elder, President and CEO at Trojan Battery Co., said “Trojan has taken a comprehensive look at the Indian subcontinent and has strategically targeted geographic regions and premium market segments that have a demonstrated need for Trojan’s deep-cycle battery solutions.”

The Indian distributor would start offering the product in the Southern States of Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Pondicherry. It also has plans to expand operations in the Asian subcontinent based on market demand, said company officials.
