US firm to study Essar oil block

 Essar Oil Ltd has assigned an US-based agency to conduct a technical and economic viability study on its CB-ON-3 block in Gujarat.

 The Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) had handed over the block to Essar Oil in June for exploration and production of oil and gas.

 It is also learnt that the United States Trade Development Agency (USTDA) has provided a $281,618 grant to Essar Oil for the study.
