US sports firm turns to Indian ad agency for sponsorship

US-based XTRM Sports Network has approached CashurDrive Pvt Ltd, a city-based on-vehicle advertising company, to find advertisers in Indian and South Asian markets for the upcoming Supermoto series.

The XTRM-AMA Supermoto championship, expected to begin next month in the US, includes eight race series sponsorship, trackside signage, branding on live XTRM TV, XTRM community pages and onsite activation.

“XTRM Sports has approached us to find advertisers for the Supermoto series and we would be looking at Indian and South Asian markets. We are in talks with several leading companies in the region and expect that some sponsors will be finalised soon,” CashurDrive CEO Raghu Khanna told Business Standard.

 

Analysts feel this move may have been necessitated due to the global slowdown that has cast a shadow over sponsorship in the US and European markets.

On-vehicle advertising is a relatively new concept in the country. Car owners are paid for allowing advertisements on their vehicles, after registering themselves on www.cashurdrive.com. The company has already registered 14,700 vehicles under its belt.
