Usha Martin PAT at Rs 41.86 cr

Usha Martin has recorded a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 41.86 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2010, an increase of 30.7 per cent over the same period last year, on the back of raw material integration. Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 673.15 crore, an increase of 10.6 per cent. The sinter plant would be operational by August, which would complete the Rs 2,100 crore expansion programme.

BOC net profit at Rs 24.21 cr

BOC India has recorded a net profit of Rs 24.21 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2010, compared to Rs 10.63 crore in the same period last year. Operating profit during the quarter before interest and depreciation amounted to Rs 47.80 crore compared to Rs 33.03 crore. The operating profit includes other income of Rs 6.19 crore, mainly comprising compensation for government land acquisition in Hyderabad and sale of land in Durgapur. Gross turnover at Rs 261.15 crore grew by 18 per cent.
