Usha Martin net up 207% to Rs 9.02 cr
 
During the third quarter of the financial year 2004-05, Usha Martin, producer of speciality steel and the world's second-largest wire rope manufacturer, has reported an over 305 per cent increase in profit before tax at Rs 14.70 crore against Rs 3.63 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
 
Profit after tax rose to Rs 9.02 crores from Rs.2.93 crore, an increase of over 207 per cent. Revenues from exports have registered a growth of over 183 per cent at Rs 103 crore compared with Rs 36 crore during the corresponding period last year.
 
Cash profit for the quarter is Rs 32.41 crore compared with Rs. 20.11 crore during the same period last year. The company's net sales stood at Rs 303.12 crore compared with Rs. 200.93 crore for the corresponding period previous year, showing a growth of over 51 per cent.
 
Zensar net up 148% to Rs 7.26 cr
 
Zensar Technologies has posted a 148.63 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 7.26 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year against Rs 2.92 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal year.
 
The company has posted sales of Rs 90.97 crore (Rs 71.76 crore). The company had posted a revenue of Rs 267.07 crore in last fiscal against sales of Rs 228.43 crore reported in 2002-03.
