Usha Shriram Brita eyes 40% market share

Riding high on growing market of offline water purifiers in rural areas, water purifier company Usha Shriram Brita today said that it was aiming to improve its market share in water purifier business by 15 per cent in next two years.   

"We are keen to increase our market share especially in offline water purifier segment to 40 per cent within a span of two years," company's Managing Director Anupam Bharat said here today.    

At present, the company commands 25 per cent market share in offline water purifier segment.    

He said that the market of offline purifiers in the country stands at Rs 1,200 crore with a size of 7 lakh units per annum. "This segment is growing at a pace of 20 per cent in the country because it is a cheap product and it does not require electricity which has been a major issue in rural areas," he said.

 

The company today also rolled out latest range of its purifier such as Water Guard Max, Water Guard Crystal and UVA in the markets of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
