The US-India Business Council (USIBC) has appointed Michael DiPaula-Coyle as the new director of India Policy Advocacy.

In his new role, Michael will serve as Deputy to Ron Somers, President of USIBC, and will oversee a broad management and policy portfolio, including information technology, insurance and pensions, and media and entertainment, an official statement said.

"Michael will be an excellent addition to the USIBC team. He brings outstanding leadership and management experience and has worked extensively on bilateral trade and security issues with India at the highest levels in government," Ron Somers said.

USIBC is the premier business advocacy organisation representing 260 largest US companies investing in India, joined by two dozen of India's largest global companies. It was set up in 1975 with the objective to strengthen US-India commercial ties.
