UTI Ventures invests $10 mn in Laqshya Media

UTI Venture Funds has invested $10 million in Laqshya Media, a Mumbai-based Rs 200 crore outdoor media company.

According to industry information, this is the first noticeable investment by a private equity firm in the Indian outdoor media sector. Enam Financial Consultants acted as investment bankers to the transaction in which UTI has picked up minority stake.

Laqshya Media was founded by Alok and Anup Jalan in '97 and has grown to be amongst the top three out of home advertising firms in India and the leading independent outdoor media firm.
