Media and Entertainment Group UTV Software Communications today reported a 35 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 40.57 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.
Total revenues rose to Rs 220.72 crore in the quarter ended December 31, from Rs 160.19 crore in the same period previous fiscal, UTV Software Communications said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 40.19 crore for the December quarter, a jump of five-fold over the year-ago period.
Shares of UTV Software Communications were trading at Rs 508.20 on the BSE, up 4.31 per cent from previous close.
