UTV Software Communications today said its consolidated net profit for the December quarter grew 29.55 per cent to Rs 29.90 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The media and entertainment firm had a consolidated net profit of Rs 23.08 crore in the December quarter last fiscal, UTV Software Communications said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The consolidated total revenues rose to Rs 160.19 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 123.53 crore last year.
While, for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2008, the company registered a consolidated net profit of Rs 87.77 crore, a 76.49 per cent growth over the corresponding period last year.
It had a consolidated net profit of Rs 49.73 crore in the same period last financial year.
Shares of UTV Software Communications were trading at Rs 252, up 0.60 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
