VA Tech Wabag Ltd, a water and wastewater management company, has received an order worth Rs 80 crore from the Surat Municipal Corporation for upgrading its existing 120 million litres per day sewage treatment plant and augmenting it up to 162 mld. The scope of the order also includes design, construction and commissioning of a new 42 mld sewage treatment plant and integrating it with the existing plant.
The total engineering, procurement and construction portion would comprise Rs 65 crore and operations and maintenance would be around Rs 15 crore for a period of five years.
