Thrissur-based ayurvedic medical services provider Vaidyaratnam is targeting to achieve a turnover of Rs 200 crore by 2015. For this, the company would invest 25 crore in a phased manner over the next four year.
In 2008-09, the company registered a turnover of Rs 60 crore.
Managing director ET Neelakantan Moos said the group was in talks with major players to set up in-patient treatment facilities in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi through strategic alliances in the next five years.
It was also planning to open 1,000 franchisee outlets across the country during the next three years. This is in addition to the existing 1,000 such outlets across major locations in south India.
To enhance its overseas business, the company would open franchisees in UAE, Bahrain, Korea, Spain and UK.
The new block of nursing home along with the Ayurveda Medical college at Thaikkattussery, near Thrissur, will be opened in 10-12 weeks. The group has spent Rs 5 crore on the the new block.
He said the new manufacturing facility at Pollachi in Tamil Nadu has started operations while the two facilities in Kerala would be modernised. The three units together can produce 8 tonnes of medicines daily, he said.
