IT firm Vakrangee Softwares has bagged a five-year deal worth Rs 750 crore from the Rajasthan government to design, deploy and operate common service centers in the state.
"Vakrangee Softwares has bagged the Rajasthan CSCs project from Rajasthan's Department of Information Technology and Communication. The approximate value of the project is Rs 750 crore," Vakrangee said in a filing to the BSE.
Setting up of common service centers (CSCs) is one of the mission mode projects under national e-goverance plan (NeGP) of the Centre, it added.
Under the project, Vakrangee will design, deploy and operate the CSCs along with the portal, hardware and networking to deliver all e-governance services to the people of Rajasthan. The duration of the project is five years.
Meanwhile, the company reported a 42.57% jump in its net profit at Rs 19.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 from Rs 13.90 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said.
Net sales increased 67.5% at Rs 451.97 crore in Q4, 2011-12 as against Rs 269.75 crore in the same period a year ago.
The net profit for financial year 2011-12 increased 47.2% at Rs 70.87 crore as against Rs 48.14 crore in the previous fiscal.
Net sales stood at Rs 1352.14 crore in FY'12 as against Rs 852.34 crore in the previous financial year, up 58.6%.
