Van Heusen to launch new brands, more stores

Apparel firm targets 18% growth in premium segment

Van Heusen, the apparel brand of Aditya Birla Group's Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, is looking at 18 per cent growth in revenues from launching premium products and expanding presence in tier-II cities.

The brand is looking to launch a limited edition line in women’s apparel with a price tag of Rs 4,500 to Rs 8,000 apiece soon, against the current range of Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000, and a bridge to designer brand called 'Celeb' in its clubwear brand 'V.', as part of its strategy to go up the value chain, said Brand Head Vinay Bhopatkar .

‘Celeb’ shirts and trousers will sell for Rs 3,000 apiece and suits for Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000. Prices in 'V.' will start from Rs 1,500 apiece.
