VE Commercial Vehicles today announced a top-level management rejig with the appointment of Vinod Aggarwal as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company with effect from July 1.
"Intent on focusing on and achieving its ambition of becoming a leading full-range CV player, VECV has announced some senior management changes so as to strengthen the management team," the company said in a statement. Aggarwal is associated with VECV as the chief financial officer and also playing the role of president in Eicher truck and buses, it added.
The company has given the responsibility of executive vice-president to Arun Birla, who so far was spearheading the heavy-duty project for VECV, with effect from April this year.
Birla would also act as the president of Eicher truck and buses, the statement said.
Siddhartha Lal, however, would continue as the managing director of VECV. The role of Somnath Bhattacharjee also remains unchanged as the VECV executive vice-president for sales and president of Volvo Trucks India.
