Vesuvius to hike capacity at Vizag

Vesuvius India, a major manufacturer of  high-end refractory products, will increase the capacity of its monolithics business at Visakapatanam by 40,000 tonne. 

The enhanced capacity, involving a capital expenditure of Rs  12 crore, will be on stream by December 2007. 

The company's Kolkata expansion project is to be commissioned by early 2009, and the capacity, post expansion, would be 800 pieces. The investment will be Rs 50 crore.
