Videocon plans mfg unit in Dubai

Videocon Group today said it was considering setting up a new manufacturing unit for consumer durables in Dubai.

"We have been invited by Prime Minister of UAE and ruler of Dubai H H Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Makhtoum to set up a unit in Dubai. We will be going there next week to discuss details," Videocon chairman Venugopal Dhoot told PTI.

The proposed unit would be for making consumer durable products. The company already has a unit in Oman, he added.
