Videocon group chairman Venugopal Dhoot said on Saturday in Kolkata the company would start work on a Rs 20,000-crore power and steel project in Bengal at Jamuria by the end of the financial year. He claimed that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had also written to the Centre to provide coal linkages for the project, a major reason for delay of the project so far.
"I will be meeting Mamata today, as she has invited me to review various projects. Coal linkage has been a worry for the project but she has written to centre but things take time at the centre as you know," he said.
