Vigilance raids on Serajuddin Mines

Six teams of the State Vigilance on Wednesday conducted raids on the city office of Serajuddin Mines & Company Ltd, its mines stockyard at Haridapsur as well as on two transport companies engaged in carrying its mined ore. "We have found that the company has illegally stocked around 40,000 tonnes of iron ore which is valued at Rs 25-30 crore”, said Anup Pattnaik, director general (vigilance).

He also pointed out that mines department should not have given the transport permit to the company.
