Virinchi Technologies Limited, a Hyderabad-based financial IT products company, is planning to incorporate a wholly-owned subsidiary to deliver health care to end users. The subsidiary will operate on an asset-heavy model connecting the whole ecosystem including hospitals, doctors, paramedics, medical and imaging equipment, pharmacists and patients on a robust IT backbone.

The proposed subsidiary will provide business solutions using IT as its backbone as against just IT solutions, Virinchi Technologies said in a filing to the BSE on Thursday.

In September 2012, the company had acquired Asclepius Consulting and Technologies, a Bangalore-based healthcare IT products company, in an all-cash deal and for an undisclosed sum.
