Vishal Retail incurs Rs 114.7 cr loss in Q4

Retail store chain operator Vishal Retail today posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 114.73 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009.

The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 10.40 crore in the same period previous year, Vishal Retail said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Consolidated total income declined to Rs 232.89 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 318.41 crore in the same period last year.

For the year ended March 31, 2009, it incurred a consolidated net loss of Rs 94.49 crore, whereas the company had earned a net profit of Rs 40.64 crore in the last fiscal.

 

Consolidated total income climbed to Rs 1,323.23 crore in the year under review from Rs 952.97 crore in the last year.

It incurred a standalone net loss of Rs 114.72 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2009, while it earned a standalone net profit of Rs 10.40 crore in the same quarter last year.

Standalone total income dropped to Rs 232.89 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 318.41 crore in the same period previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2009, it incurred standalone a net loss of Rs 94.48 crore, whereas it made a standalone net profit of Rs 40.64 crore in the previous year.

Standalone total income rose to Rs 1,323.23 crore in the year under review from Rs 952.97 crore during the last year.
