Vishal Retail store tally moves up to 74

Vishal Retail opened two new showrooms at Bikaner in Rajasthan and Ashok Vihar in New Delhi to take its total stores to 74.

In a release issued to the Bombay Stock exchange, the company said the new showroom in Bikaner is spread over 22,000 sq.ft. Vishal also opened its first specialty store, Vishal Fashion Mart, with an area of 2,250 sq. ft in New Delhi.

The 74 stores of Vishal are spread across an area of 1.7 lakh sq. ft, the release said. 

The Rs 600 crore Vishal Retail mainly targets the mid-market segment through Vishal Megamart brand of hypermarkets. The company is now eying the premium retail space through apparels and accessories.
