Vistara is offering flat 25% discount for tickets in all three cabins in a three day sale beginning Wednesday. An additional 5% discount is available for tickets booked on the airline website and mobile app.
The airline will be offering fares ( excluding taxes and government fees) beginning Rs 1,099 in economy and Rs 2,284 in premium economy and Rs 5,775 in business class. These fares are for sale till Friday and for travel between July 1 and September 30.
The period from June to September is traditionally lean for travel as schools and colleges reopen. Hence, carriers are providing discounts to keep loads high.
In the past fortnight, all other airlines introduced their discount offers and now Vistara is following suit.
During June-September 2015, domestic carriers reported load factor of 80%, compared to 75% in the previous year. Also, airlines, especially IndiGo and SpiceJet, have added aircraft and increased flights.
