| Beverages major PepsiCo India today announced the appointment of Vivek Bharati in place of Abhiram Seth as executive director (external affairs). Seth, who has been leading the external affairs & exports function since 2002, is retiring after serving the company for about 15 years. Seth helped the company focus on creating backward linkages with farmers for sourcing raw materials. "Since joining PepsiCo almost 15 years ago, Abhiram has ably led his teams through thought leadership, vision and application while building the citrus and seaweed programmes in agriculture, the positive water balance and water conservation agenda and solid waste management programmes.
