Chinese mobile handset maker Vivo today launched its latest smartphone V3 in the Uttar Pradesh market.
Vivo has an assembly unit in Greater Noida, which has a capacity to produce 1,00,000 handsets a month.
Carrying a price tag of Rs 17,980, V3 offers faster speed with unique fingerprint unlocking, a company official said.
The company entered India in December 2014, and in the last quarter, Vivo's smartphone shipments grew by 759 percent in the domestic market.
UP is one of the biggest markets for smartphones and Vivo's focus was to expand its presence in the state, company's CMO Vivek Zhang said.
