Vodafone expands 4G service to Gujarat

The launch is a part of the second phase of the 4G roll out by the company aimed at expanding its 4G services across India.

Vodafone India on Friday said it has rolled out its 4G service in Surat and will expand services across Gujarat over the next few months.

The launch is a part of the second phase of the 4G roll out by the company aimed at expanding its 4G services across India.

Over the last few months, Vodafone has launched its 1800 MHz band for 4G services in Kerala,Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi & NCR, Mumbai, Haryana and UP East. The 4G rollout in Gujarat will be followed by Bengal, the company said in a statement. With this the company will be able to provide 4G services in nine circles --Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana,Gujarat, UP (E) and West Bengal, which together contribute to just under 70% of Vodafone India's data revenues.
 

The company aims to make available its 4G services in 1,000 towns across the country by end of the year.

While the company is aggressively improving its 4G footprint in India, it has also come up with international roaming on 4G for its India customers visiting countries like UK, New Zealand, UAE, Turkey,Ireland, Singapore, Albania, Netherlands, Romania, Germany, Greece and Czech Republic, among others.
