Private telecom operator Vodafone has invested Rs 400 crore on the network and infrastructure up-gradation in Uttar Pradesh (East) telecom circle during 2015-16.
The investment was aimed at building a smart and future fit network for superior data and voice experience, Vodafone India Circle Business Head Nipun Sharma said here.
Vodafone is amongst the top two mobile phone operators in UP (E) with subscriber base of 19.20 million. "We are the top telecom company in the Circle in terms of revenue market share of 28 percent," he informed.
"We have the largest optic fibre network of 12,000 km in the Circle," he added.
In its ongoing network expansion programme, Vodafone had installed 1,550 sites last year alone in the Circle to strengthen and expand its 3G network. Vodafone SuperNet3G is available across 300 towns in UP.
Now, the company is gearing up to launch 'Vodafone SuperNet 4G' and making available 4G SIM Cards to its subscribers.

"The Quality of network plays a defining role in enhancing customer experience. In recent months, we have made significant investments to expand, upgrade and modernise our network to provide better indoor connectivity and faster download speeds," Sharma said.
Meanwhile, to engage youth with the brand, Vodafone has announced a unique value proposition Vodafone 'U', which offers benefits to keep users always connected with friends via internet, voice, music in addition to digital offers and experiences.
