Vodafone is now eyeing medium businesses enterprises (who are having a turnover of Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore) to offer a complete communication solutions package with mobility, connectivity and cloud computing services.
Commenting on this, Ishmeet Singh, Business Head, Maharashtra & Goa Circle said, "Medium enterprises are the growth engine of Indian economy and Vodafone is partnering this segment in their growth journey. In a very competitive scenario as now, medium enterprises need technology tools to make their business processes more efficient. Vodafone Business Services as a Total Communication Solutions Provider will be an enabler for the Medium enterprises to provide the above technology. In Maharashtra, there are over 11,500 medium enterprises and 250 in Goa. This contributes 10 per cent of Vofafone's total business."
He added, "The biggest users of these technologies are companies with higher spend base in indirect spending and are generally present in banking and financial services, pharma, FMCG, and retail. For an medium enterprises that looks to grow from Rs 150-crore company to Rs 500-crore one, this is a big impediment."
