French super premium vodka brand Grey Goose is looking to spread its wings further in India after logging more than 50% growth within a year of launch, even as its holding company Bacardi is contemplating the introduction of tequila brands Casadorezes and Corzo into India.

"The whole of Asia Pacific, including India has seen good growth for white spirits, particluarly vodka. We are happy with the growth Grey Goose has seen within a year and now we are looking to spread our presence," Paul  Francis, global marketing manager of Grey Goose, said.

The company is now looking at spreading its presence beyond Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi."Our marketing guys are exploring possibilities of distribution in places like Hyderabad and Goa...There has been a shift away from brown spirits to white spirits across thr globe and we are seeing the trend here in India as well. It is a good time to bring other white spirits brands, which are not present here," Francis said.

With India and China emerging as key markets, the company is in the process of increasing investments in terms of human resources and financial spending on brand building in the region, Francis said.
