Volkswagen launches new Polo variant for Rs 6.16 lakh

Premium car maker Volkswagen today said it has launched a new petrol variant of its small car Polo, priced at Rs 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

"With the introduction of this variant, the Polo becomes even more exciting for our customers as it becomes more powerful and fun to drive," Volkswagen Group Sales India Board Member Neeraj Garg said in a statement.

The new variant will come with a 1.6 litre petrol engine, compared to the existing 1.2 litre petrol option, the company said.

Volkswagen had earlier this year launched the Polo in both petrol and diesel options.
    
The existing petrol variant of the Polo comes at Rs 4.42 lakh-Rs 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
    
The diesel Polo is offered between Rs 5.42 lakh and Rs 6.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
