Volkswagen, Germany’s largest car manufacturer, will launch the Vento, a new sedan, by September-October this year, a company release stated.
The car will compete against the segment’s current best-seller, Honda City. It will be positioned in the premium mid-size sedan segment, whose price bracket falls in the Rs 8-10 lakh category. Volkswagen is keen to maintain its premium image with the car in the domestic market, according to company officials.
