Voltas net up 140 per cent crore

Tata group company Voltas reported a 140 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 52.16 crore compared with Rs 21.75 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous financial year.
 
The company's income for operations grew 39 per cent during the quarter to Rs 833.69 crore (Rs 599.29 crore), Voltas said in a statement.
 
"The company has sustained the momentum of its accelerated growth as most of its businesses are performing at high levels. It has successfully seized opportunities arising from substantial investments in various sectors of the economy," said MM Miyajiwala, executive vice-president (finance) and CFO, Voltas.
 
Voltas' electro-mechanical projects and services segment's revenues grew by 52 per cent and the order book of the segment stands at Rs 2,007 crore, it said.
