Tata group company Voltas today said its consolidated net profit rose by 41.11% to Rs 132.25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 93.72 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Voltas said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Net sales of the company declined to Rs 1,345.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011, as against Rs 1,403.05 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 125.70 crore for the June quarter, compared to Rs 84.60 crore in the same period last year.
The company's net sales stood at Rs 1,379.92 crore on a standalone basis for the June quarter, as against Rs 1,370.43 crore in the year ago period.
Shares of Voltas today closed at Rs 137.80 a piece on the BSE, down 2.86% from its previous close.
