Voltas Q2 profit zooms 48% to Rs 90 cr

Tata Group firm Voltas today said its consolidated profit after minority interest and share of profit of associates rose by 48 per cent to Rs 90.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, over the same period last year. 

Total income rose to Rs 1,114.17 crore in the latest quarter ended September, against Rs 999.31 crore in the same period last year, Voltas said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. 

On the standalone basis, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 80.6 crore in the July-September quarter, up 29.66 per cent from Rs 62.1 crore in the same quarter corresponding year.
