Wedking group launches Saurashtra's first wedding helpline

This helpline service offers about 70 different types of services that is required during a marriage function

Parents of bride or bridegroom need not worry about catering, photographers, marriage hall or any other services required during marriage. All their worries can be solved with just one phone call to Rajkot-based Wedking group which has launched Saurashtra's first wedding helpline.

According to he group, it is first of its kind venture in Saurashtra and Kutch region and possibly in Gujarat. "We see marriage as an industry which is still an unorganized sector. Only in Rajkot marriage related service business size is about Rs 800 crore. Taking a cue from this we decided to start wedding helpline service in Rajkot," said Sonu Joshi, project head of Wedking group.
 

This helpline service offers about 70 different types of services that is required during a marriage function. The group has registered more than 750 service providers with it. With just one phone call parents can find everything including pandits, jewelers, catering service, mandap service, photographers, cars, orchestra and even dholi for marriage function.

"We will not charge anything to bride or bridegroom family as we are getting registration fees from service providers," Joshi added. He said, "In first stage we have launched this service for Rajkot but we have several service providers who are giving their service outside city and state. This kind of service will be handled through our website." He said that this service will not only helpful for locals but also for Non Resident Indians (NRI) who generally come to India between October and February for marriage.

Group also plans to expand this service in other cities of Gujarat. "We will expand our network but at presently our prime focus is Rajkot and Saurashtra. Possibly next year we will enter in Ahmedabad," Joshi said.
