Welspun Gujarat SR net zooms 146%

Riding on the buoyancy in the piping industry, pipe manufacturer Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren's Q2 net zoomed 146% to Rs 82.50 crore for the quarter ending September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 33.50 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The company also posted 37.54% increase in its net sales at Rs 927.60 crore for the quarter ending September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 674.40 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income went up by 37.76% to Rs 929.80 crore for the quarter ending September 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 674.90 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
