The passenger vehicle demand make be looking down the barrel but automotive companies are not intending to apply brakes on new launches.
Two hatchbacks, a compact SUV, a luxury sedan, a high performance bike are just some of the noted launches due to take place next month.
Mumbai-based sports utility vehicle (SUV) market leader Mahindra & Mahindra will further intensify competition in the crowded hatchback segment when it launches the Vibe on June 5.

Vibe is the compact car based on the Verito platform and re-engineered by M&M. Verito is the mid-sized sedan, which is almost entirely based on Renault's Logan car.
This will be followed by the likely launch of the Audi S6, the sportier version of the regular A6 luxury sedan, already on sale in the country.
Further, a compact yet premium hatchback from the Volvo stable will get launched on June 14. The Volvo V40. which will get imported into the country as a fully built unit, will likely be priced in the region of Rs 20 lakh.
However, the most awaited vehicle of the year so far from Ford Motor Company, will debut by the middle of next. The EcoSport, a compact, sub 4-meter SUV, is readied by Ford, with deliveries slated to begin by end of next month.
Pune-based Bajaj Auto will take the covers off the KTM Duke 390, the elder sibling of the Duke 200, but strikingly similar looking. The Duke 200, which was launched earlier last year, has exceeded the demand expectations of Bajaj Auto.
Further, Tata Motors has promised to launch a variant of the Nano also in June, which would likely get a new fuel variant. So far the company has been selling the micro car with just the petrol engine.
To maintain its leadership in the three-wheeler category Bajaj will launch a completely revamped portfolio of three-wheelers in June, which will offer better fuel-efficiency and cleaner emissions.
