Wipro Q2 net up 16%

 According to a release issued by Wipro to the BSE today, total income increased 26.7% to Rs 2,506.8 crore in Q2FY06 as against Rs 1,978.5 crore in Q2FY05. 

 Azim Premji, chairman of Wipro, said: "The Global IT business sustained its momentum resulting in revenue for the quarter being $430.7 million as against our guidance of $422 million. We expect revenues from our global IT services business to be approximately $463 million for the quarter ending December 2005.
