Drug firm Wockhardt today said the group narrowed its consolidated net loss to Rs 181.23 crore in the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2009, from Rs 357.84 in the corresponding period a year ago.
Consolidated net income of the company decreased to Rs 889.33 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 977.57 crore in the same period previous year, Wockhardt said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
For the 12-month period ended December 31, 2009, consolidated net loss widened to Rs 435.54 crore from Rs 138.86 crore in the corresponding period previous year.
Consolidated net income rose to Rs 3,629.44 crore in the 12-month period under review from Rs 3,589.78 crore during the same period last fiscal.
Standalone net loss narrowed to Rs 159.96 crore for the December quarter from Rs 386.32 crore for the same quarter previous fiscal.
