Wockhardt plans Rs 50cr R&D unit in Aurangabad

Wockhardt is planning to set up a research and developement (R&D) centre in Aurangabad with an investment of Rs 50 crore.

"We are setting up an R&D centre at Aurangabad," Habil Khorakiwala, chairman of Wockhardt, said while speaking at a conference 'India R&D 2005 - the world's knowledge hub of the future'.

The company is also planning to launch its injectible, long acting insulin, Glargine, by 2006-end or early 2007, he added.
