Drug maker Wockhardt today reported Rs 189.87 crore consolidated net loss for the second quarter ended June 2009, against Rs 105.87 crore net profit registered in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The income from operations rose to Rs 954.15 crore during the April-June quarter, from Rs 910.30 crore in the same period last fiscal, Wockhardt said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On a standalone basis, Wockhardt posted a net loss of Rs 260.69 crore during the June quarter, while it had a net profit of Rs 23.35 crore in the second quarter of FY'09.
Income from operations fell to Rs 366.73 crore during the three-month period, from Rs 368.79 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Shares of Wockhardt closed at Rs 148.30, up 1.82 per cent on the BSE.
