Wockhardt Q2 profit surges three-fold to Rs 454 cr

Drug firm Wockhardt today said its consolidated net profit surged over three-fold to Rs 453.55 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2012.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 127.58 crore during the corresponding period of previous fiscal, Wockhardt Ltd said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,347.44 crore during the second quarter compared to Rs 1,045.63 crore during the same period of 2011-12 fiscal.

For the six months ended September 30, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 831.52 crore, compared to Rs 321.54 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.
