Bengaluru-based Wonderla Holidays Ltd will soon start works on the construction of its third amusement park, in Hyderabad, soon.

"The company has received the necessary approvals and works would start soon," said Arun K Chittilappilly, managing director of Wonderla Holidays Ltd.

"We have received the necessary approvals for the project and had already finished the land acquisition," he said. It has acquired around 50 acre, and is expected to invest around Rs 250 crore in the park.

Wonderla expects the new facility to be ready by the first quarter of the fiscal 2016-17. While it has plans to set up another park, its fourth, in Chennai, the project would start only after completion of the Hyderabad park, he said.

It had raised funds through a public offering, in April, this year. The money would be infused into the proposed park, said Chittilappilly.
